    A training kit that Robotis has released after Engineer Kit-1, which will again allow many different applications for users: Robotis Engineer Kit 2!
    Robotis Engineer Kit 2 is an AI-based, multi-articulated kit that will mobilize your different knowledge and skills for STEM education. Robotis Engineer Kit 2 stands out with its ability to provide camera vision, Python programming and 3D printing.

    Robotis Engineer Kit 2 includes 3 new metamorphic models: MAX-E2, a humanoid robot; SCORPI, an arthropod-like scorpion; and COMMANDO, a tracked tank.

    MAX-E2: A humanoid robot developed mostly for competitions. It has a camera, offers remote control support, provides face recognition. DoF is 18. COMMANDO: An autonomous mobile robot that uses its camera to recognize different colors and line recognition. SKORPI: It is a reactive biomimetric robot. It interacts with objects around using the DMS-80 distance sensor. With its parallel joint structure, it can move its 6 legs in series.

    Differences between Engineer Kit-1 and Engineer Kit-2



    The differences of Kit2, which is designed for image processing, from Kit1 are as follows:


    o Kit2 has Raspberry Pi Zero W and Raspberry Pi Camera module, which offers a more suitable and total solution for image processing. This processor and camera structure is the main difference of Kit2 and enables more effective work on robots, from line tracing to face recognition. Kit1 has a CM550 Robotis controller and there is no camera on Kit1.

    o Kit2 supports additional Pyton libraries to create sophisticated programs for both research and classroom use.

    As with Kit1, Kit2 supports 3D printing to reproduce parts and also allows the production of parts with new printing materials. CAD STL files are provided for you to produce new parts.

    WARNING: Kit-2 is an expansion set for Kit-1 and some parts from Kit-1 are needed to build the robots in Kit-2!
