Actuonix S20 Series Rod-Style Precise Stepper Motor Actuator, NEMA 8, Motor 38, 15mm
Actuonix S20 series stepper motor rod actuators are designed on the L12 platform. In the S20 Series, a NEMA 8 brushless stepper motor is used instead of the DC motor and reducer in the L12 actuators, and this stepper motor drives the shaft directly. The other feature that distinguishes the S20 series from other series is that it can perform precise positioning and is among Actuonix's long-lasting series.
The Actuonix S20 series can be used with a stepper motor control board. And the control board recommended by the manufacturer is the Pololu Tic T825. The TIC T825 is ideal for the S20 series with 6 different control interfaces and auxiliary features such as current limiting and reverse voltage protection.

Resolution can be increased with micro-stepping, but this may result in non-linear variations between steps and reduced holding torque.
Low speeds: quiet and smooth motion can be achieved with micro-stepping.
Medium speeds: in the case of full stepping, noise is tolerable and maximum load performance improves!
High speeds: limited negative/positive acceleration at full stepping is recommended! Microstepping with ramping is also possible, but the maximum force may decrease!
